Heya there, Iced Tea fam. This week, we got something special to end this month. Presenting, our top 3 JoJos of all time!

Other than the Jo-Bros & the Jo-Foes, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure stands upon the foundation each part builds through protagonists, the JoJos. The names of these characters can usually be made into the word ‘JoJo’ (or ‘GioGio’, at times) and their hairs (or the lack thereof, with Jotaro’s hair and hat mixing into one, somehow). This list is curated based on the characters and not the parts as a whole.

Giorno Giovanna

Giorno is the son of DIO, conceived with Jonathan Joestar's stolen body (cool, right). His stand Gold Experience is STRONG. In requiem form, it is so overpowered that the fandom often refers to it (at least pre-SBR) as the strongest power in the entire series. Strong enough to fulfil his dream in days, and subtle enough to be used primarily for healing. He is as dark and brutal as DIO while retaining heroic intentions making him the most realized ‘JoJo’.

Johnny Joestar

The reason the first rank is caveated by SBR is because, Steel Ball Run introduces Johnny and his stand Tusk. The ever cursed by misery, overpowered nail shooting reality warping, horse-rider without the use of his legs. His life may be sad, but he is character truly developed, with his arc never seeing joy until the end (refer: Jojolion). Personally, we placed him just under Giorno (or ‘GioGio’, cue laughter), because even though the overall story he is in is better, he is character arc is too tragic for him to be considered a success (unlike GioGio completely).

Josuke Higashikata

Unlike most other JoJos (except Giorno, too many GioGio jokes), Josuke’s stand differs in how it is primarily used for healing. His arc is not of glory (even though it is a by-product), it is of saving people. His arc is to develop a set of side characters in a series where they almost feel like the main characters while Josuke feels like the best side in the series.
